Every word and thought written in this book is a blessing. My best advice is to take the opportunity to read it and trust it, when this book has come to you is for a specific reason. This is because your inner voice or God (whatever you believe) wants to live a life full of love, happiness, and understanding for all of humanity. Thank you Don Miguelito and Peter 🙂 Although the content and agreements in the twenty-first century are useful and relevant, I had the impression that there were many very religious and excessively spiritual elements in the stories. In this book, the author masterfully reveals the very source of the self-limiting type of beliefs. In this paragraph, it is the convictions that effectively deprive us of all the turmoil that ends up causing unnecessary suffering. First, The Four Agreements is based on ancient Toltec wisdom, which offers a very imaginative code of conduct. This is something that has the potential to completely change our entire lives, leading to a very fresh experience of freedom. Secondly, beyond that, love and true happiness are also something that is part of the new life of men. Our personal power is based on the agreements we make and we often make those deals to please others instead of being true to ourselves. In doing so, we surrender our personal strength.
The four chords aim to regain our personal power by being authentic and clinging to our true self. The four chords are: 1) Be blameless in your word, 2) Don`t take anything personally, 3) don`t make assumptions, and 4) keep doing your best. These agreements are simple, but far from simple. the concept is simple, the four agreements are understandable, the results are undeniable.
